2021年2月19日、離婚を申請したキム・カーダシアンとカニエ・ウェスト。「Kimye（キムとカニエを掛け合わせた）」と呼ばれたハリウッド界ビッグカップルの離婚は、北米のTwitterトレンドになるほど大きなニュースです。6年前に結婚して、4人の子供をもうけました。彼らの関係のアップダウンをまとめました。

三度目の離婚となるキム

二番目の夫となったクリス・ハンフリーズ

セレブも人間。キムとカニエにもアップダウンがあったはず。キムにとっては、これが3回目の離婚になります。キムの初婚は19歳の時。駆け落ち同然で音楽プロデューサーと結ばれるも、結婚生活は長続きしませんでした。2010年、NBA選手のクリス・ハンフリーズと再婚するも、わずか72日で離婚を発表しました。交際歴も含めると、3年間一緒にいました。

カニエとの出会いから交際まで

キムとカニエの出会いは、2000年始め頃。友人を介して出会ったそうですが、その時はお互いを意識することはなかったんだとか。親密になったのは、クリスと離婚した直後だったそう。

クリスと離婚して落ち込んでいたキムは、カニエから彼が主催するファッションショーにおいでと誘われたそう。彼はジョークで、「そのショーの間は、君とデートができるね」と言ったそう。キムはその時のことを、次のようにコメント。

「私はショーを見に行って、彼と交際を始めたわ。少し一緒にいるだけで彼に恋してしまったの。『何てことなの！なんでもっと早くこうやって誰かと恋愛しなかったのよ。愛、楽しさ、協力が、本当の人生ね』みたいに思ったわ。」

2012年4月、2人は交際を始めました。交際から8ヶ月後に妊娠が発覚して、翌年6月に長女のノースちゃんが誕生しました。

ロマンチックプロポーズ

2013年10月、カニエはロマンチックなプロポーズを計画。キムを連れて野球観戦していました。スタジアムの画面に「オレと結婚して下さい！」と大きな文字が…。何も知らないキムはビックリ！カニエから大きなダイヤの指輪をもらい、その場にいた家族や友人からも祝福されました。
